Did you know that you can stall your potential because of your unwillingness to invest into yourself?
Well, you can. It’s true.
Many people go through life expecting to grow by default as if the older they get the smarter they become. Although age may bring experiences, it does not necessarily prove that they are growing.
That would mean getting older would mean getting better…but we all know people who are older and bitter.
If you are not intentional with personal growth…it doesn’t happen.
It’s that simple.
Here are 4 things that I think will change your life and help you grow:
1.) Read great books.
In his book, Take the Stairs, Rory Vaden says,
“Most people in the world will not read more than 5 books in their lifetime.”
“According to one major publishing company, 95% of all books that are published are never completely read. “
“70% of all books ever purchased are never even opened.”
Reading a great book puts you into the minds of great thinkers that you may never meet but from which you can learn a great deal.
I’ve heard that for every 1 book read, it equates to 2 years of wisdom.
Reading is worth the investment. What’s $10 or $15 for a book that may give you a lifetime of wisdom when you would normally would take that money and eat a chicken dinner at a restaurant?
(Disclaimer: I have nothing against chicken…I love chicken.)
2.) Connect with great people.
You’re only as good as the people you know.
Jim Rohn says, “You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with.”
Guard yourself from people who are negative influences and get around those who are positive influences!
The speed of your life is determined by who you get close to in your life.
3.) Think great thoughts.
Your life will never change until you change your mentality about life.
It is impossible to have a positive life with a negative mind.
Change the way you think and change the direction of your life! – If you don’t like where you are heading, change the way you are thinking.
4.) Know a great God.
There is nothing more important to me than my faith.
I want to encourage you to invest into a relationship with God.
Maybe you currently have a relationship with God. That’s great.
Maybe you don’t. If not, I would love to be apart of that journey for you. – Feel free to message me and we can chat more about it.
There is no greater feeling than feeling peace within yourself and with God.
Invest in yourself! The power to change your life is in your hands!
